Our website hosting

Our website is hosted by Google in a data centre in Iowa, US. Our SSL certificate, which displays our firm name in the browser address bar, encrypts and delivers all website traffic over https.

Google is a third-party data processor with headquarters in United States.

 

Email Newsletters

If you sign up for our email newsletters, your email address will be forwarded to Mailchimp, who provides us with email marketing services. Mailchimp is a third-party data processor in our eyes.

Your email address will be stored in Mailchimp's database for as long as we use their services, or until you ask to be removed from our mailing list. Each email we send will contain a “one-click” unsubscribe button that will remove you from the mailing list immediately.

 

Processors of Third-Party Data

We may store your information on third-party servers or through businesses that process personal information on our behalf. These third parties may be based outside of Australia, but we are confident that their privacy policies comply with GDPR.

We will notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner and relevant persons within 72 hours of discovering a data breach, whether it is caused by our own storage or that of third parties.

Access to your personal information

You have the right to seek without charge information about the personal data we hold on you. Please send details of your request to privacy@ecdigital.com.au, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

 

Data of your customer

Because of the nature of our job, we frequently have visibility and access to your own customer data, making us a data processor. Although many of the same provisions will apply, the security of this data is protected by a separate Data Sharing Agreement (contract) between us, not by this privacy policy.
